This piece really spoke to me, especially here, "Or maybe writing about hopelessness until it turns into something in the neighborhood of hope." Thanks for writing ♡

How perfect for today dear Danusha. It is day 27 of The Season for Peace and Nonviolence (1/31 - 4/4) and the principle is generosity. Your lovely post speaks to a natural cycle of reciprocity that connects & transforms us as writers as humans.

“Has this poem changed me, yet?” That is a great question that we live into. I’m not sure if a poem is ever done? It carries something with it beyond the words that leans into that change. Poetry is an act of resilience that opens up doors to transformation. Poetry exists due to the failure of language, and reaches for something on the other side of language. We don’t have a word for that either, but we know what it feels like. Thanks for a great post Danusha 🙏❤️
