Beautiful reflections, Danusha. There is such truth to how often we are caught in the current of busyness yet we crave the moments that pull us out of it & onto the quiet shore of presence. I spent this past week in a Zen retreat, mindfully going about each daily task, and found that holiness revealing itself to me. Every small, ordinary thing embodies the spirit of holiness if we offer our loving attention to it.

There are times when slowness pays off; for example, when we eat a delicious meal. One does not or should not hurry to savor well every bite. When making love to a loved one. why to hurry it. Let's explore every inch of that body. When we are with our lover. We want the time to pass slowly.

Your chose a good topic to write about and I like what you say in all of it.

Ahhh, yes. The crescendo of wings flapping (angels or hummingbirds).

Watching branches tumble from the old trees. And the ritual of retrieving. Like Louise Nevelson in preparation for .....

Slowing down time is such a magical feeling. And we so often forget we have the power within ourselves to do it. To stand in front of a tree. To close our eyes to the sun and linger. Beautiful words, and reminder.
